“Large rooms with comfortable beds, but not modern and all the better for being historic. Very good location for a good price and nice service. We enjoyed a great breakfast in the café.”
“We are staying at Hotel Lombardy during graduation weekend in Washington, DC, and I have been so appreciative of the kindness and professionalism of the staff. A special thank you to Ms. Sherane Berkeley, the Reservations Manager, who has given us amazing attention and care. Traveling with family can be very stressful, especially when room arrangements matter, but she has been calm, helpful, and truly attentive. Her kindness and professionalism made us feel welcomed and taken care of during a very busy weekend. The hotel has beautiful historic charm, a great location, and a warm, classic feel that makes it different from a standard chain hotel. We are grateful for the service and for the effort the staff has made to help us feel comfortable. Thank you to Ms. Berkeley and the Hotel Lombardy team for helping make this important family weekend easier and more memorable!!”
“Incredible place! Perfect location for tourist activities. Charming atmosphere, historic building. If you are tired of the same smell and same look at every single hotel nowadays and would like something different this is it! I also loved that they have great water pressure and very hot water and you can open your windows, which nowadays is not existent in hotels. Room was clean and tidy. I wish they had a fridge in the room, but maybe they do in other rooms. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. You can leave your stuff for a few hours after checking out if you ask them. 100% I am coming back and will tell about it to all my friends”
“Awesome hospitality in a charming hotel! I was in town for one night to play at Constitution Hall. My husband was able to complete check in, get the car parked and have dinner in the hotel restaurant all while I was at rehearsal. When I returned to the hotel the waiter (Muhammad I think) had my dinner delivered to our room in five minutes. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was lovely but not huge. I think we had a corner room. Overnight I didn’t hear any noise through the walls or from the hallway, our room had an interior door to the bedroom that we could close. The bathroom didn’t have a fan but I opened the window for some ventilation. Checkout was easy—and at noon—which let me get some errands done beforehand. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to the staff for such a welcoming visit.”
“Great location for exploring Washington . The bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable. There is a small gym in the basement with basic equipment. The hotel is quite dated, with carpeted rooms, but no slippers provided. Old bathtub with a fabric curtain, which I personally find unhygienic. Shampoo, conditioner and soap attached to the wall, and the shower height is not adjustable. No bottled water provided in the room. The night staff were extremely grumpy and unhelpful. The day and evening staff were lovely. The rooms were very overpriced at $275 per night without breakfast, in late-April.”
